Education Leaders Will Meet in Los Angeles on February 21-22, 2018 for School2Home Leadership Academy
Education leaders will convene in Los Angeles on February 21-22, 2018 at the 6th annual School2Home Leadership Academy to share their expertise about turning around low-performing schools by integrating technology into teaching and learning coupled with deep parent engagement. School Leadership Teams from 12 districts and 37 schools around California will come together to hear addresses from California Superintendent of Instruction Tom Torlakson, California Collaborative for Education Excellence Dr. Carl Cohn, ISTE Chief Learning Office Joseph South, and Google's TechEquity Voice guru Kenneth Shelton. Each School Leadership Team will develop and report out on an Action Plan to refine implementation of School2Home, a statewide innovative initiative led by the California Emerging Technology Fund to close both the Achievement Gap and the Digital Divide. The 13 schools participating from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will be spotlighted at the Leadership Academy with presentations by LAUSD executives Dr. Frances Gipson and Sophia Mendoza.
